We need to close the monastery and cancel services until further notice, due to some cases of Covid among the sisters.

Update 9/13/2024

Thank you, Reverend Fathers, Brothers and Sisters in Christ, for your prayers and concern. Fortunately, everyone is recovering. We did not have any particularly severe symptoms. However the recovery is taking time. Nine out of the 12 persons living here tested positive for Covid during the past ten days.

I feel there is no need to rush back to a full schedule after such a long haul of activity during the past several months, as well as this major outbreak of Covid here.

With this in mind, we will be celebrating a modified Vigil for the Cross this evening at 5:30. The modifications will be done to keep the service within two hours.

The Vigil service will be streamed on YouTube. Local friends who wish to attend in person may do so, keeping in mind that Covid still lingers here, so please keep distance and wear a mask to protect yourself if you have health concerns.

Our 9:30 Liturgy on Saturday and Sunday will likewise be streamed on YouTube. Local friends are welcome to attend, however please note that there will be NO coffee hour or lunch served. Immediately following the service, guests should leave, as the sisters continue to rest and recover. Again, please distance and wear a mask to protect yourselves if you have health concerns.

We will remain closed the coming week. The sisterhood will need to have some additional days of rest and recovery. We intend to be fully opened again on Saturday, Sept. 21, and thereafter.
