Hundreds of faithful came to venerate the myrrh-streaming Hawaiian Icon of the Mother of God. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated as well as the Akathist and Paraklesis services to the Theotokos throughout the day. A steady stream of pilgrims came to venerate and pray before the icon and were anointed with the fragrant myrrh coming from the icon. Some photos are available in the photo album below. More information about the icon is available at www.iveron.org and also at www.orthodoxhawaii.org/icons.html |
